About Media ISAO

The Media Information Sharing and Analysis Organization’s (ISAO) mission is to promote news media resilience, especially relating to risks with a digital or cyber security nexus. The Media ISAO pursues this mission by promoting collaboration and information sharing to help news organizations and individuals improve their own resilience and by addressing systemic risks to a vibrant, independent, and sustainable press worldwide. The Media ISAO is a member-driven organization, with membership drawn from news organizations, technology platforms, press freedom organizations, freelance journalist associations, and production companies. The Media ISAO’s Board comprises seven executives from The New York Times (founding member), Hearst, McClatchy, Spotify, Gannett, The Economist, and Axel Springer, and the Media ISAO is managed by cyber risk advisory firm Good Harbor Security Risk Management.
