About Medinova
Originating from a pharmacy in Zurich, Switzerland, Medinova today is an international pharmaceutical company. The pharmacist Dr. Fritz Müller founded Medinova AG with fellow students on 16 February 1945 on the premises of the Römer Pharmacy in Zurich. The original core business was the production of pharmaceutical specialties and raw materials for pharmacists. Only two years after its foundation, Medinova relocated to Eggbühlstrasse in Zurich Seebach because the premises were too small for the rapidly expanding business. The continuous growth in Switzerland and the successful entry into various foreign markets led to the construction of a new headquarter in Eggbühlstrasse in 1961. In 1968 the growing Medinova was integrated into the Diethelm & Co AG. In 2004 the company became part of the Swiss DKSH Group. Since 2017, the new headquarters of Medinova AG is located at Eggbühlstrasse 28, in Zurich; not far from the original company headquarters. Thanks to continuous investment in existing products, for example in the form of clinical trials, and a sustainable in-licensing policy for additional pharmaceutical specialties, Medinova offers an attractive healthcare portfolio in the fields of women's health, dermatology and insomnia. Medinova is successful growth on all continents through a broad network of partners and thanks to an active management of the life cycle of its core products based on scientific know-how and many years of expertise in the various indication areas. Today our pharmaceutical products are marketed in more than 65 countries. Striving for high quality meeting the highest industry standards has been the leading principle of Medinova AG ever since.
