About Melbourne Freestyle
Melbourne Freestyle is the FIRST and only Freestyle Ice Skating group in the Southern Hemisphere. The group founded by Daniel Shaw back in 2018, has gone on to share and further develop the niche with hundreds of students and onlookers. Inspiration for the group was drawn directly from Daniel's exposure to subculture skating groups in parts of EU and the US, after wanting to find other's like himself, with an unfettered passion for skating with no rules or limitations. The group is backed by Shaw's 20+ years of skating experience, and 12+ years of teaching fellow skaters about the unique benefits Ice Freestyle has to offer.
