Melecs EWS GmbH is - with a turnover of 486 million euros and more than 1900 employees - the largest electronics engineering and manufacturing service provider (E2MS) with Austrian roots and has more than 25 years of experience. Melecs offers everything from a single source: from development, engineering and project management through industrialization and production to logistics. Over 12 years ago, the plant in Siegendorf/Austria was built. In 2011, Melecs EWS expanded and opened a branch in Győr/Hungary. In 2016, a production site in Wuxi/China was also built to serve global customers. In spring of 2018 the market entry into North America started with the opening of a sales office in Auburn Hills/Michigan. At the end of 2018, Melecs EWS acquired Prettl Electronics Querétaro, S.A. de C.V and took over the management of this company in Mexico. Electronic components from Melecs can be found in ECUs and LED applications in cars of international premium manufacturers as well as in household appliances (washing machines, etc.) of the European market leader. In addition to tailor-made products and solutions for the automotive, lighting and white goods sectors, Melecs also develops and manufactures electronic assemblies and integrated solutions, including equipment assembly for the industrial sector, such as escalator controls or energy-efficient heating systems. In the highly automated production of the electronic plants in Siegendorf/Austria and in Győr/Hungary electronic assemblies and devices are produced in medium and high volumes. An in-house test lab at the Győr site enables Melecs to quickly and reliably inspect products in product development, product validation and mass production.
