About Melissa Scoppa Jewelry

I began creating jewelry early in my high school years when I took a basic silversmithing class. It was an instant love for the medium and the final product was so rewarding. After formal education with design and Metalsmithing, as well as a number of years working in the New York City Jewelry Industry, I have continued to create and expand my love and knowledge for the craft. Jewelry is such unique medium in that it can be used to celebrate an occasion, milestone, or be treasured and passed on as an heirloom. My work is centered around the idea that wearing jewelry on the body can change your mood and be a tangible reminder of a personal message. Each piece of jewelry is designed and made by me in my studio in Berkeley, CA using traditional jewelry making techniques and quality materials.
