About Melodic Caring Project
The Melodic Caring Project (MCP) is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit which bridges the gap between music, technology and patients battling serious illness by streaming LIVE personalized concerts to children in hospitals all around the world. MCP's mission is to bring genuine love and compassion together with the medically proven healing properties of music and share them with children in need. Unlike other complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) programs, MCP meets a real and pressing need with its innovative and personal approach offering ease, accessibility and comfort to children suffering from serious illness. This unique service is FREE to patients and hospitals and is funded by the generosity of individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and grants. HOW IT WORKS! MCP is about one artist [or band] playing a LIVE and extremely personal show for a select number of patients (usually up to 9 per show). That performance is filmed and streamed LIVE [by MCP's video production team] directly to patient's hospital rooms [or homes] where they can watch the show in the comfort and anonymity of their own rooms. Through a live-chat feature, patients can chat throughout the concert with friends, family and outside supporters sending real-time messages of love and encouragement creating a true sense of community and support. Ranked in the TOP 50 for live streaming concert sources across the world, MCP's production team partners with local and nationally touring artists to stream one or more of their shows to kids in the hospital who cannot attend due to medical conditions. MCP offers a very personal LIVE music experience for hospitalized kids by giving special shout-outs to each patient by name from the musicians on stage. The patients are the rockSTARS and the musicians are their #1 FANS.
