„Mutterschaft und Migration“, dies sind die Themen von denen der MaMis en Movimiento e.V. ausgegangen ist, mit denen er begonnen hat, seine Arbeit zu entwickeln. Wir sehen uns als eine Gruppe von Müttern und Frauen spanischprachiger Herkunft, die Räume für einen Austausch und eine Teilhabe an der lokalen Gemeinschaft bietet. Wir fördern die Zweisprachigkeit im familiären und institutionellem Bereich, wie auch die soziale und berufliche Integration spanischsprachiger Menschen in Deutschland. Momentan haben wir mehr als 200 Vereinsmitglieder mit 15 verschiedenen Nationalitäten. Wir sind in 11 Bezirken von Berlin und Potsdam präsent. Wir entwickeln Angebote für Kinder, Erwachsene und Familien. Alle Angebote haben einen pädagogischen Hintergrund, es werden Fachleute und andere Mitglieder aus dem Vereinsnetz einbezogen. Weiterhin stellen wir Beratungsangebote zur Verfügung. Für die Angebote in spanischer Sprache erhalten wir keine externe Unterstützung. Wir entwickeln jedoch auch Projekte, die aus öffentlichen Fonds finanziert werden.
