About Memphis Tilth

Our mission is to cultivate collective action for an economically sustainable, socially equitable, and environmentally sound local food system. We envision a community with full access to affordable, fresh, locally and sustainably grown food. With your help, we are able to teach others to grow their own food, share knowledge of sustainable growing practices, support urban and rural farmers, and cultivate community. We accomplish our mission this through three programs: 1. Grow Local : Cultivating an urban farming culture ensures that more people are growing food, and that more local farms and gardens are becoming sustainable for future generations. 2. Cook Together : Creating opportunities for garden-to-table education improves the health outcomes for all communities. 3. Farm direct : Connecting community members to local farm food increases access to healthy, affordable food while strengthening farmer livelihoods.
