Mendon Truck Leasing & Rental was founded in 1958 in Valley Stream, New York, by Mendy Taffel and Don Resnicoff, who owned and operated a local service station there. When a local bakery requested that Mendy and Don provide all required maintenance service for their two delivery trucks at a fixed monthly charge, they agreed with the concept and called their new venture Mendon. For the next five decades, Mendy and Don grew their business, Mendon Truck Leasing & Rental, and expanded to six locations serving Metropolitan New York City and New Jersey. In 2018, Mendon Truck Leasing & Rental joined forces with Group Petit Forestier, a family owned and operated full service leasing and rental company and a leader in the refrigerated fleet market. Headquartered in Paris, France, Petit Forestier relies on a network of locations throughout Europe, North and South Africa with an extensive fleet of lease and rental equipment. Mendon Truck Leasing & Rental has become known for providing superior levels of service and personal attention in satisfying customers’ needs for over 60 years.
