I decided to use the concept of Hybrid Garbs “There is No Good Without the Bad”, to create |MEN|TAL BALANCE. The brand does not operate on the idea of good or bad, but instead accepts that there will always be both, focusing on the BALANCE. In life there is truly no good without the bad. MISSION STATEMENT The goal for MEN|TAL BALANCE by Hybrid Garbs is to help men acknowledge, understand, and fight their mental battles. We want to help men turn their pain and struggles into positive constructive energy. We believe that after dealing with trauma or loss, the mind and body are affected by various mixed emotions. Particularly for men, the battle emerges as we are encouraged to oppress and ignore our issues. Shoving them away only to become a larger problem causing a deeper sense of pain, anger, and rage. THE BALANCING ACT We will showcase a variety of individuals who have walked through hell on earth in their own experiences, overcoming their mental battles and ultimately using their pain to create a constructive versus a destructive lifestyle through our events, panels, and dinner series. During these events we will address the multiple ways that men can get help, keeping in mind that their individual needs, and circumstances are unique. Education is key and creating a Men’s Mental Health Platform and Digital Information Centre for men will truly provide all options and outlets for men to seek out the help and support they need. MEN|TAL BALANCE hopes that through networking, outreach, events and partnerships we can play a role in changing the landscape of men’s health.
