We go to Italy. We find great things. We bring them home. MERCATO specializes in Italian antique furniture and home decor. Located in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Since 2003, we have been a resource for homeowners, interior designers and architects alike. All of our antique furniture and decorative accessories are hand sourced on our buying trips to Italy. If you are interested in unique interiors, have a deep appreciation for craft, a love for the handmade, and a curiosity about history, you’ve come to the right place. These principles are fully embodied in the art, design and culture of Italy. We have been traveling to Italy for nearly two decades to hand source antique furniture and unique decorative objects that are one of a kind. Italian antique and vintage furniture can be mixed with many decor styles. The antique pieces we source have a great patina and add a great deal of sophistication to a space, but in an understated way. Italian antiques make a striking statement when juxtaposed with contemporary art and furniture. While simple, rustic and utilitarian, the antique pieces are beautiful.
