About Merit Coffee

At Merit, we take responsibility for the quality of coffee in your cup very seriously. This drove us to start sourcing and roasting our coffee 7 years ago. Our team travels to Central/South America and Africa to find the best quality coffee and work directly with the farmers. The coffee gets shipped to Texas, where it is roasted on a 45 & 25kg Probat roaster custom built for us in Germany. We create beautiful community spaces where you can enjoy that coffee, get some work done, connect with friends, or even escape the busyness of life. Our cafes focus on the local community and neighborhoods they are in. With sourcing and roasting done, the next step is brewing. Our baristas are excellent and approachable coffee professionals who love learning names, remembering your drink order, and finding out how that job interview went last week – all while crafting a delicious cup of coffee we sourced, roasted, and brewed for you. Put simply; our mission is to be a light in our community, a bright spot in someone’s day.
