Established in 2012 by Jim Watson, and initially branded 'Metric Elements', we were born of a drive to create a unique and truely diverse company that embodied Jim's vision of catering to all engineering disciplines with an equal focus. From humble beginnings, servicing the needs of regional mines and the Whyalla Steelworks, MCE's core services soon expanded from an initial focus on heavy industry to include commercial, education, residential, defense, space, project management & execution, cranes certification, and shop fabrication drawings. Metric is a team of problem solvers and creative thinkers who create, test and challenge ideas, providing rigorous engineering solutions that enable the safe and efficient development of infrastructure. We are a team of engineering, drafting, and digital-technology experts, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions for industry while developing lasting and beneficial relationships. Metric offers civil/ structural engineering, certification, condition auditing & reporting, drafting and shop drawing development for fabrication,. We are proudly SA owned and with offices in Whyalla and Adelaide, we are located to deliver the best results for both our regional and metropolitan clients.
