About Metro-Tech Systems
Cable TV / High Speed Data / Digital Telephone Installation Technician We have several immediate opportunities available. Seeking both 1099 and W2 employees. Start as soon as background and drug screen return for experienced techs. Training for inexperienced technicians available (call for next training class start date). We are seeking experienced CATV Installers (Cable & Satellite TV Installers) as well as candidates with common skills sets in related-experience fields (CCTV, home security, home entertainment systems, electrical, phone, even HVAC) as well as non-experienced candidates who are mechanically/technologically inclined and eager to begin their career within this exciting industry. We have several positions available and do provide paid training for inexperienced candidates. The technician will also perform service upgrades, downgrades, installation and/or disconnection of cable, high speed internet service, and digital telephone service. A daily part of the responsibilities include troubleshooting customer's wiring to isolate and repair service related problems. Educating customers on how to properly operate the equipment and services installed is also a fundamental requirement of this position. QUALITY WORKMANSHIP and CUSTOMER SERVICE is the key to success in this industry. * Must have a clean driving record. * Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check. * Must be 21 years or older. * Must be able to work outside, all year around, in ALL weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold). * Must be able to lift, carry, and handle a 90 pound, 28 foot extension ladder. * Must NOT be afraid of heights (15 to 25 feet above ground) * Must be computer literate. * Must be able to effectively use hand tools and power tools. * Must be able to work long hours and up to six days a week on a regular basis. * Must be a highly motivated person with an eye towards high production. * Must be organized and well groomed.
