About Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation

Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is the only registered charity dedicated to supporting Metro Vancouver Regional Parks. Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is dedicated to the conservation, preservation and enhancement of Metro Vancouver’s regional parks. There are 22 such parks in and around the Lower Mainland, covering more than 10,000 square hectares. In 2009, almost 9 million visitors experienced the natural beauty of British Columbia through the parks system. This volume and the demand on the parks increase every year. While ongoing maintenance and day to day operations of the parks are publicly funded, MVRP Foundation actively raises funds to expand and improve the parks in ways that go beyond the basic necessities. Working together with government, businesses, community leaders, other non-profit organizations and groups, and individuals, MVRP Foundation is the Foundation for the Future of Our Parks.
