Metropolis Moving is a locally owned and operated residential moving company based in NYC. We’re a new company, but our experience is anything but lacking. With over 6 years experience working for another prominent local NYC moving company, the owner Matt decided to set out on his own and start Metropolis Moving. Lets face it, moving in this city is stressful, full of situations and unexpected encounters that are common only to New York. You can trust in us to have the experience to anticipate these problems and to plan ahead to make the move process as quick and painless as possible. Experience in the moving industry counts, and having guys who actually care for your move is invaluable. Our foremen (the guys in charge of the move) are managers in the company and are payed a percentage of each move rather than per hour. This is to ensure accountability on the job with our guys. They have a vested interest in making sure they’re on time, that things get done quickly but carefully, and that our strict standards of customer service are met. A move is a major change, and we enter your life for a little while in the midst of that change. Moving is a tough job, but getting to know new people, and getting out and seeing the city is actually pretty fun for us.
