METRO was organized in 1986 in San Antonio Texas and has successfully completed more than 6,000 projects, with a total value exceeding One and a Half Billion Dollars. As a local general contractor, we employ more than 85 people between our Austin and San Antonio offices. We specialize in private sector construction. Our expertise is constructing healthcare facilities, office buildings, retail centers, restaurants, and industrial projects. We build projects from the ground up, finish out existing spaces, and have renovated some Texas’ most beautiful historic buildings. Our peers have recognized our work with over two dozen Excellence in Construction and safety awards, including two coveted Eagle Awards, the highest award given in Associated Builders and Contractors’ national competition. During the construction process, METRO is involved every step of the way, from concept to completion. Commercial construction is often complicated, and without proper guidance it can be overwhelming.
