About Mettler Center
Mettler Physical Therapy was founded in 1990 by Paul R. Mettler PT, DPT, as a private practice in physical therapy. The practice expanded into fitness and in 1997 moved to it's present location at 2906 Crossing Court, Champaign, IL and changed the name to Mettler Center. The 14,000 square foot facility hosts a fitness area with an array of cardio and weight machines, a free weight/stretching area, three group fitness studios, locker rooms, a wing for physical, occupational and massage therapy. Members receive three orientation sessions with a personal trainer, a nutrition consult with a Registered Dietitian and have access to over 70 group fitness classes a week, discounts on personal training, nutrition packages, massage and other great programs and services. Dr. Mettler founded the center on the concept of whole life fitness and all of the above fit into this model. He and the staff truly try to live out the mission statement of "transforming the lives of the people we serve" each day. Mettler also continues it's tradition of offering the very best in physical and occupational therapy to the Champaign/Urbana area. With six physical therapist's and one occupational therapist ( who is also a certified hand therapist) at two locations treating a wide variety of out-patient conditions, consider Mettler if your physician has recommended physical or occupational therapy. In 2002, Mettler Therapy was named "Best Private Practice" by Advance magazine, a national publication.
