About Mfacts121
Mfacts121 is a newly developed, online resource, for teaching and learning the 121 basic multiplication facts (times tables). The philosophy is, to teach the facts with meaning, incorporating a strategies-based approach. This is coupled with practise tasks, games and online activities, with the ultimate aim of fast recall of the facts. The resource has been created by a partnership of two currently practicing teachers. Their aim is to make Mfacts121 easy to use, time-efficient and flexible in the ways it can be utilised. It comprises: • Ready to use Units of work, for Years 3-6. • Animated, classroom friendly videos, for each of our 13 multiplication strategies. • 121 multiplication facts (up to 10 X 10) divided into four achievable levels - no longer in ‘tables’ format. • Students work through each level of facts, at their own pace. • Printable lesson plans, games and resources. • Online assessment and practise tool, for each level, to track student progress with ease. • Flipped Learning possibilities- ask your students to view the ‘strategy videos’. • Decide how you want to use the resources- during 'Tools' or 'Warm Ups' or as part of your units of work. • Everything you need is packaged up on the Mfacts121™ site, in an easy to use format.
