About MGAO

MGAO is an architecture office based in Prahran, Victoria, Australia. Established in 2015 by Matt Ross Goodman. Our office is passionate about creating architecture of all scales and building types, whether they be commercial, residential or social projects. we believe that there is great value in what already exists, as such we draw heavily upon the conditions surrounding a site, using reference as a way of tying a new project with the existing built fabric of an area. we also love working with old buildings as they allow us to engage directly with these existing conditions which we love so much. when working on projects where the surrounding context is the Australian landscape and no buildings exist, we begin by responding to the specifics of site. elements such as orientation, weather conditions and view locations are used to Create an architecture which connects the user to the surrounding landscape, drawing the outside in. We may not have a specifically discernible style, yet we do have a clear architectural approach which we believe allows us to respond in a careful and considered manner to meet the requirements of any given brief and we look forward to resolving the challenges that each new project may pose.
