The hard clinical context related to the age-related macular degeneration or maculopathy, chronic ocular disease and first cause of blindness in developed countries, has to be solved. The number of affected patients is increasing drastically with 500'000 new cases per year and a pool of 260 million patients is estimated for 2040.
