About Miami Poetry Club
At Miami Poetry Club, we believe writers get better when they write, and we believe a community gets better when they express themselves through writing. We welcome writers of all backgrounds, styles, genres, levels, and experiences. Our programming includes bi-monthly no-cost community workshops, Spoken Waves poetry reading series, Poetry Playground Writers’ workshops, Palms & Poetry Open Mic at Books and Books in Coral Gables (Every 3rd Monday), and the virtual publication of local writers. Miami Poetry Club is a nonprofit that seeks to cultivate the next generation of great Miami writers by offering writers space, education, and community to improve their craft. Our mission is to provide inclusive, accessible poetry education and events to amplify and enrich the lives of Miamians through the transformational power of writing and community.
