Miamibloco is a Samba Percussion Community where Afro Brazilian rhythms are the cultural glue that binds unique and diverse cultures together, to create engaged, joyful and equitable communities through percussion performances, cultural exchange and education programs for everyone regardless of experience. We create opportunities for connection and promote music as a natural expression of being human, using the magic of percussion to turn strangers into friends and caring neighbors. We believe that access to joyful intergenerational experiences in public spaces is central to the health and resilience of any community. Miamibloco's Samba percussion is an accessible music style where large groups of people play simple beats arranged into complex musical conversations for a harmonious and pulsing collective groove. This approach promotes teamwork, communication and an outlet for self-expression for people of all ages.
