About MiCat

We investigate questions of our time through the lens of design and storytelling. We use our creative design and engineering skills to break down, visualise and materialise complex processes, connections and thought models. In creating opportunities for people to engage with a given subject we aim to develop critical positions and challenge how we all think and feel about the world we live in. We are interested in collaborative making processes and believe that creating makes us human, and that making is a powerful way of connecting with others. We run an annual, residential summer camp for children aged 9-15. The camp celebrates the joy of collective endeavour; through constructing big, ambitious projects, we foster interdependence, build confidence and cultivate a love of the outdoors.
