At a very young age, Michel Sellouk began working in his family hair salon where he learned the art of beauty. By the age of twenty, Michel was living in London and advancing in the art of cutting and styling at some of the town's most prestigious salons. By virtue of his expertise, he was able to open his own salon in the Regents Park area of London. It quickly gained a reputation as one of the most fashionable and trendiest places in London. Due to its success, Michel was recognized with many awards from the beauty industry. Relocating to Montreal, he opened a salon with his brother that developed into one of the most successful hair salons in the city. Michel always had a desire to live and work in America, and fulfilled that dream by first moving to Los Angeles. In California, he worked at "Avenue of the Stars", a salon frequented by celebrities. However, it was a visit to the warm and welcoming city of Houston that led him to put down permanent roots, where he created Michel's Hair & Color Salon.
