About Michele Varian Shop & Design Studio

The Michele Varian Shop and Design Studio is known not only for Michele’s own designs of locally made textiles, wallpaper, lighting and furniture, but as a go to for a comprehensive selection of the best of modern design. It is a place of discovery and inspiration for many, embracing aspirational as well as accessible items. The shop carries the work of over 100 other designers, in addition to that of Michele Varian. These designers range from iconic and well-known designers to the best work of emerging and young American designers of home accessories and jewelry. Besides winning multiple product design awards, the shop has been on the best of lists of shelter magazines, such as Elle Decor and Interior Design, for consecutive years running. In an effort to support the design community, Michele developed the Design Talks by MV series and widely attended Roundtable Sessions to shine a light on industry challenges and productive problem solving. After 20 years in SoHo, Michele moved the shop and fabrication studio to Brooklyn's Atlantic Ave in 2020, where it is thriving.
