About Michigan AIDS Coalition

The Michigan AIDS Coalition was officially formed February 1, 2009, when the Michigan AIDS Fund (MAF) and the Midwest AIDS Prevention Project (MAPP) completed a merger that we strongly believe will best serve the organization in this difficult economic environment. Most importantly, the new agency will better allow our community to receive the education and services it needs. Our new mission statement is to “prevent HIV/AIDS in Michigan by promoting healthy lifestyles, providing and investing in evidence-based, innovative programs and through advocacy and education.” The two agencies which merged to form MAC have more than 30 years combined experience in HIV/AIDS advocacy, education and outreach. We will continue on this path until it is no longer necessary.
