Surviving Abuse Network encourages you to join the conversation: domestic abuse is real and we don't have to live with it! Surviving Abuse Network is the result of my passion and mission to bring domestic abuse out of the closet and into the spotlight. Domestic abuse has grown to epidemic proportions. At some point in their lives, 1 in 4 women in America, some are now quoting 1 in 3, are living in or have lived in abuse at the hand of a domestic partner. Some abusive relationships end quickly. Some last for decades...like mine. I chose to live in domestic abuse for 34 years. I say I chose because I didn’t leave. There are as many reasons to have stayed in dangerous relationships as there are women who stay. I thought it was my duty as a good wife to support my former husband, to be the strong one, to help him through his anger...at me and the world. And, I loved him. Through Surviving Abuse Network I am dedicated to mentoring women who have left damaging relationships. Creating a strong and healthy life and lifestyle after domestic abuse is possible. Creating our lives outside of abuse means we have to be willing to do the in-side work. If we don’t change ourselves, nothing will change. Surviving Abuse Network includes many vehicles to empower and support your growth: mentoring/coaching, classes, masterminds, blog posts, a weekly iTunes podcast (Surviving Abuse Podcast), twice weekly live videos on Facebook (Wednesday and Sunday evenings at 7:30 pm Eastern time), a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, and a Facebook secret group.
