About micrometal
micrometal GmbH, incorporating HP Etch and Etchform, has decades of experience in photochemical etching. Our goal is to bring our unique etching technology to you to stimulate innovation in your endeavours while always maintaining the highest quality and reliability. micrometal’s chemical etching process is very different from conventional photo-chemical etching processes. We use a special liquid resist system to obtain ultra-thin photoresist layers enabling a higher degree of precision in the chemical etching process. It allows us to achieve extremely small feature sizes and single digit micron tolerances repeatably. Traditional chemical etching uses relatively thick dry film resist which compromises ultimate part precision and the tolerances that are available. We also use digitally produced glass photo-tooling, providing superior reproduction and resolution than digital film photo-tooling used in conventional chemical etching processes. micrometal also offers a continuous chemical etching process, meaning that metal can be processed continuously from the introduction of initial raw material (typically on a reel) to the final packaging step (which can see finished parts delivered on a reel). The continuous photo etching process avoids problems associated with batch-to-batch variations, effectively processing one large batch rather than a number of smaller batches. It is only in this way that chemical etching process can truly claim that the first and the millionth part will actually be the same. Our standards for maintaining product and process quality are high. We are certified according to ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949. We are constantly striving to optimise ourselves further, so that the principle of "continuous improvement" is firmly established. We supply these markets: filter technology, medical technology, automotive, electronics, consumer & capital goods industry, aerospace technology.
