About Midbar Saints

After leaving college, I struggled for 3 years feeling without a purpose. Hundreds of doors were closed along the way. I prayed for God to answer me with a word of direction. God revealed that He was answering my prayers by closing doors. I could not get a job for lack of experience and had no money. I knew in my spirit that I was going to do great things, but my circumstances said otherwise. After a final rejection of my “dream job” God spoke to my spirit again. My journey through the wilderness was a critical time in my life that ultimately led to discovering my purpose. My circumstances were the same, but in God's eyes they were the perfect circumstances for God to get the glory. It was at this exact time that my father was walking through his wilderness as well. As a disabled veteran diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). He had to give up his license and lost interest in everything. He was confined to home and felt without a purpose. Through much prayer he found relief in running. We both knew God was preparing us for something bigger than ourselves. We were home a lot together and would talk about God and encourage one another to keep moving forward no matter what the circumstances were. The more we talked about God by the fire, God's will was slowly revealed to us. Midbar Saints was born in October of 2017 in my room. As I prayed and pursued what God had given us the doors began to open, and Midbar Saints was no longer an idea, but a brand. Now, together with God on our side and Jesus leading the way, we stand in the gap for all those and our veterans who have felt hopeless, forgotten, and without a purpose. We’re here to encourage those that there is always hope with God, you are not forgotten, and we’re moving forward with you. God will use your wilderness as he used ours as a launching pad, if you let him, and He will lead you towards your purpose in Him.
