About Middle East University (MEU)

Middle East University (MEU) is a national educational research, consulting, non-profit foundation, owned by the Company of Middle East University which is administered by the executive board; two thirds of its members are of PhD holders. The university focuses on knowledge as the driving force in spreading culture and building high scientific skills of students, habilitating and providing them with the requirements of human development. East University for Graduate Studies is one of the institutions that aspires to build an effective strategy based on improving the performance in line with the standards of international universities so as to allow opportunities for graduates to assume leadership positions in the workplace after graduation. The university inaugurated its first stage with the name of the University of Graduate Studies on June 30/2005, after having completed all the requirements of licensing and accreditation including the provision of distinguished faculty members, qualified staff, and developed lesson plans. The university received the first batch of students in twelve specialized master's program at the beginning of second semester of the academic year 2005/2006 at the fully equipped and sophisticated site of the university. At the beginning of the academic year 2008/2009 the university received in its second phase the first batch of undergraduate students in twelve specializations in the total area of buildings amounted to (25000) m ².
