About Middlesex Magic
The Middlesex Magic enters its 21st season this spring, and is one of the most respected AAU clubs in New England and in the Country. The Middlesex Magic was founded in 1993 by the late Michael Crotty Sr., and currently directed by his son, Michael Crotty Jr. The goals of the Middlesex Magic are simple: To have fun and get better. To develop better skills, Middlesex Magic teams practice multiple times a week with the most experienced coaching staff in New England. Our coaching staff boasts experience from high school, college, and the NBA level. Our players get better throughout the season, and our teams grow together through chemistry built in practice and during our participation in the top-level AAU tournaments. We run two programs every year: Pre-Season Program (Fall): In the fall, we typically participate in 4-5 tournaments, including our Fall Classic. Post-Season Program (Spring): Post-season practice begins in February and runs through mid-June, and consists of 5-6 tournaments. The Middlesex Magic "First Shot" Tournament starts the spring season, and our tournament has consistently been one of the top ranking tournaments in the state, attracting teams as far south as Florida. Middlesex Magic has programs for boys grades 3 through 12. Tryouts are open to all. Middlesex Magic is an active member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). All participants in the program must register with the AAU.
