About Midwest Center for Joint Replacement
Welcome to Midwest Center for Joint Replacement, the offices of Drs. Michael E. Berend, Wesley G. Lackey, and Joshua L. Carter. The surgeons at Midwest Center for Joint Replacement specialize in total knee, partial knee, and anterior hip replacement surgery. Because our surgeons use modern anesthesia techniques and a multi-model approach to pain control, total hip and knee replacements can be performed as outpatient procedures. Joint replacements used to require a week in the hospital, but now, over 60% of our patients are home within 6 hours. Patients can recover with their families in the comfort of their own homes. We have two offices in Indianapolis and Bloomington. We perform outpatient surgeries at Midwest Specialty Surgery Center located on the 1st floor of the same building where our Indianapolis office is located. We will also perform inpatient surgeries at local hospitals when additional medical care is required.
