About Migrant Action

Migrant Action is an Advocacy and integration based organisation. We assist new and vulnerable migrants (non-asylum seekers) to navigate the complex process of migration and integration. Through our work, we enable migrants make informed choices, access justice, find positive and sustainable pathways to integration. We are a migrant-led, migrants- focused organisation. Our work is inspired by lived experience of migration and a proactive stance on migration and integration. Our aim is to prevent vulnerability and create a safe and enabling environment for sustainable integration of migrants. To ensure that migrants can fully explore issues, make well informed choices, access provision and fulfil their potential. What we do: - Provide Information and signposting - Advice and guidance - Casework - Advocacy and access to justice - Help migrants explore options and choices - Support registration and access to mainstream services - Help transition for new migrants towards meaningful integration - Education and training Migrant Action's values: - Confidentiality - Impartiality - Non-directive advice - Empowerment & Choices - Lived Experience - Equality & Social justice - Working in Partnership There are different ways in which you can be involved in Migrant Action’s work. Volunteer, donate, support us, fundraise, or develop a partnership with us. As well as our office in Ebor Court we also have a weekly advice and advocacy drop-in 09.30-1pm at RETAS (Roundhay Resource centre)- Roundhay road.
