One body. One Life. One App. Is who MiKare Health is, a patient-controlled digital health platform inspired by the family of our CEO Karen Perks from lived experience. After years of her daughter’s recurring misdiagnoses and fragmented care, Karen saw first-hand the cost of incomplete records and the burden on patients to retell their story at every point of care. MiKare exists to change that. MiKare unifies medical, dental, optical, lifestyle, and environmental (exposome) data into one secure, portable record, owned and shared by the individual. Its AI focuses on pattern recognition (not diagnosis) to surface subtle trends earlier and enable more meaningful, timely conversations between people and clinicians. Families and caregivers coordinate across generations so continuity isn’t lost during transitions. The leadership of Karen is guided by four principles: Empower patient voices and choice: people should control their own health story. Represent the whole person: clinical data plus daily life and environment. Design for inclusion: across literacy levels, languages, and geographies. Improve data quality for safer care: earlier insights, fewer errors, fairer outcomes. In a system where records remain scattered across hospitals, primary care, allied health, and standalone apps, and where many clinical records are incomplete while lifestyle and environmental drivers are rarely captured, Karen’s mission is clear: ensure every person is seen, heard, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
