Mikro Kapital was founded in 2008 by the Italian banker, Vincenzo Trani. The company invests in creditworthy small and medium-sized enterprises with a low risk level. Our investments are mainly concentrated in emerging countries a long the Silk Road, where there are greater possibilities of acquiring small clients in need of assistance during their growth phase. Our Team, composed of highly-specialised professionals, has ensured constant, long-term growth for our company, helping us to become one of the main players in the countries along the Silk Road. MISSION Our mission is to facilitate economic growth in the countries where we operate, by ensuring financial flows to niche markets considered safe and profitable, by providing know-how, avoiding speculation and supporting, when possible, the continuous growth of small enterprises. Our objective is to increase the wealth of our investors. BUSINESS MODEL Mikro Kapital mainly operates through two funds: Mikro Fund and Alternative. MIKRO FUND invests in micro and small entrepreneurs lending, financial and operational leasing, worldwide, with a focus on EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific), while ALTERNATIVE looks to provide to its investors exposure to Italy, Romania, Moldova and emerging countries along the Silk Road. During 2016, Alternative launched an historic partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), one of the most reliable and dynamic international financial bodies when it comes to the promotion and enhancement of entrepreneurial and market activities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Through this historic partnership, EBRD offers Alternative the chance to co-invest in the finance of pre-determined countries. Since 2015, Mikro Kapital has been a partner of National Microcredit Agency.
