About Mile Hi Foods

Mile Hi Foods Co. is the evolution of Mile Hi Fruit & Vegetable Company which was founded in 1946. Mile Hi can actually trace its foodservice industry roots back to 1901 when Michael Taddonio started peddling fresh products in and around the Denver area. Before the adoption of the Mile Hi name, the company was known as Taddonio Brothers Produce. In 1956, the first McDonald's Restaurant was built in Denver and Mile Hi was awarded the potato contract and a strong business partnership was born. In 1974, Mile Hi Frozen Foods Co. was incorporated as a separate business to place more focus on servicing the supply chain needs of McDonalds restaurants. Today, Mile Hi Foods Co. (formerly known as Mile Frozen Foods) distributes all food and paper related products to several hundred McDonald's restaurants in Colorado and surrounding states. The company remains owned and operated by the Taddonio family. Kristy Taddonio Mullins is now the company President as the organization enters its fourth generation of family leadership. Mile Hi Foods is a part of Mile Hi Companies. Other Mile Hi Companies divisions include: Mile Hi Specialty Foods, Mile Hi Bakery and the Taddonio Family Foundation. February 2013- Mile Hi (Foods) Companies is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Colorado Biz Magazine as the 7th largest Family-Owned Company (ranked by number of employees) in Colorado.
