About Miles of Smiles

"Miles of Smiles" was founded by Stephanie Friedman and co-founded by Amber Willmon in September 2013. It was inspired by their own want to volunteer and the warm feeling giving to people who deal with homelessness. What We Do: Feel humbled while making others feel important. Every month on a set weekend, we get together and do something different for the less fortunate and the hard working men and women outside. It is an organized event each month. Normally, we will be handing out food and bottled water because this is what is needed to survive! Inspirational quotes for them to read is our absolute favorite part about this! We will always stick a quote on the bags to help build self esteem! Guidelines: Only do this during the day and in a group of two or more. Never at night or alone, for obvious safety reason. Be cautious of your surroundings. Just as it is with anything you decide to do, make sure you are careful. More importantly, have fun and feel good about what you're doing to help others. Stephanie and Amber with "Miles of Smiles" really do care a lot about helping others and being the cause to putting a smile on someone's face. It is rewarding to take a weekend out to dedicate their time to doing this. It even puts a smile on their faces! If you want to join, then you are most certainly welcome!
