About MILLA.ie (BelowHorizon)
Spin out from the ADAPT Centre, Trinity College Dublin, creating online speech technology based language learning resources. We build audio/video and spoken dialog (text chat/voice) based activities using client provided material (or we can source). For example, we can take listening material from you, add images, and produce listening comprehension, skills integration exercises such as dynamic cloze, matching, jumbled words, and online spoken dialog interactions for speaking and pronunciation training. We have several decades of practical experience in language teaching, curriculum and materials development, in addition to the relevant technical knowhow and research background/relevant publications in speech and language technology. We have trialled our system with learners and teachers, and are very interested in working with Irish and international companies, particularly in view of the need for greater online provision as a result of Covid-19.
