Established in 2005 when the current owner Des Johnstone set up Millweld Limited in his local town of Workington. In 2018 Millweld Ltd located to our purpose built workshop and offices at Lowca Lane Business Park. We are proud that we have a very high average length of service that ensures we have employees that are knowledgeable and experienced to meet your requirements. Together with Des, the employees form an experienced and reliable team – always committed to making sure that the customers are supplied with what they want, when they need it! We pride ourselves on customer care and will always go that extra mile to accommodate your requirements. The company has built a solid reputation for its reliability and the quality of its workmanship. We have invested in the latest processes and training to keep us at the forefront of the industry. The company was set out to, as it does today, provide high quality metal products and a first class service offering the following services: FABRICATION Millweld undertakes steel fabrication of complex structures in stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminium. Products we fabricate are: • Stainless steel and carbon steel tanks • Steelwork incorporating platforms, ladders and staircases • Brackets and supports • Bespoke fabrications made to order PIPE WORK Millweld undertakes pipe fabrication and welding in both stainless steel and carbon steel pipe. From small bore to large diameter pipes. Millweld have several weld procedures which are compliant with BS-EN-ISO-15614 part 1. Our welders are certified and we are constantly developing weld procedures to suit our client’s requirements. WIND TURBINES Millweld undertakes various tasks for the wind turbine industry such as: • Welding and fabrication onshore and offshore • Bespoke design solutions • Our offshore servicing team are fully certified to GWO standard. All of our offshore technicians are authorised and trained on the VESTAS V90-3.0 MW turbine
