Food insecurity disproportionately affects households below the poverty line, single-parent families, and certain racial and ethnic communities. Milton City Mushrooms seeks to contribute to food security by increasing the availability of nutrient-rich, locally grown mushrooms and empowering others through education on sustainable cultivation practices. Founded and operated by Tina Kendall under Tina Kendall LLC, Milton City Mushrooms is a small-scale, home-based business located in an AG-1 zoned property in Milton, Georgia. The enterprise focuses on cultivating specialty gourmet mushrooms in environmentally controlled indoor grow tents. Primary sales channels include direct-to-consumer markets and wholesale distribution to local restaurants. In addition to production and sales, the business works to provide educational opportunities, promoting awareness of fungi’s role in nutrition, sustainability, and self-sufficiency. Surplus mushrooms are donated to local food pantries to support our neighbors in need. In addition, a portion of our proceeds is dedicated to Feeding America, helping to provide meals to more than 46 million individuals across the country each year With a commitment to year-round, sustainable cultivation, Milton City Mushrooms aims to meet the increasing demand for high-quality, locally sourced mushrooms while building a strong reputation for excellence and community impact.
