About Milwaukee Youth Theatre

Since 1992, Milwaukee Youth Theatre has created content for children, but also by children. 100% of our actors are Milwaukee-area students between the ages of 8-18, no adults. We train students in all technical theatre arts including costume design and construction, set design and construction, digital light programming, live sound control and mixing, stage management and directing. Our students work toward a common goal - to tell the best story possible, together. Everyone's abilities and experiences are necessary and esteemed. Our students come back show after show because they feel valued, safe and cared-for. We contribute to the creative flourishing of Milwaukee students no matter their experience, background or access to resources.
