Mindful City Project is a grassroots community initiative providing a framework and designation for cities to follow that focus on mindfulness, emotional intelligence, compassion and generosity. These core components are all critical and necessary for an individual’s and city’s overall well being, safety and connectedness. Within a city, large or small, we focus on the entire community. We engage on a grassroots level with the residents, businesses, organizations, schools and leadership. The Mindful City Project framework is built on three pillars based on critical, foundational components of neuroscience that have been scientifically researched and proven to be key components of healthy living. We uniquely integrate these concepts into a transformative, comprehensive and easy-to-use framework and certification process that goes beyond any model used today in public health and the workplace. A Mindful City designation is awarded to residents, businesses, organizations, municipalities and local leaders for achieving their specific initiatives under each of the three pillars. This groundbreaking designation represents a strong commitment and dedication to learning, practicing and improving the overall well-being of each person, organization and the City.
