The Mindful Media Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to promote mindful media consumption among children and families, supporting healthy screen habits and holistic learning. Operating at the intersection of impact investing and philanthropy, we leverage a venture philanthropy model to invest in innovative solutions, catalyze critical research, and support aligned organizations. Our Story In a screen-dominated world, children are at risk of developing unhealthy relationships with their devices, leading to a mental and behavioral health crisis. The Mindful Media Foundation was born out of a need to address this issue and create innovative solutions to improve the well-being of children and families. We believe screens can be beneficial when used correctly and aim to empower children and families with programming that fosters shared entertainment experiences. To create a lasting impact in society, we need to empower the very industries that contribute to the problem by providing them with innovative solutions and research. This involves creating transformative media and technology that supports holistic child development—socially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually—ensuring a fun, balanced, and enriching experience for children and families.
