MindKai is conscious skincare designed with four things in mind - your tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), wairua (spirit) & whanau (family). That’s because, we believe hauora (whole health) is the key to a better you. In Māoridom we call this ‘te whare tapa wha’ - a holistic framework that likens your wellbeing to a house. When all the four walls of your whare are balanced - you are thriving. The focus on hauora (whole health) comes at a time when mental wellness statistics are taking a dive (particularly for Māori). Finding a way to tautoko (support) people through rongoā Māori has been a key aspect of MindKai. That - and to move people away from seeking conformity to unrealistic expectations of self... and beauty. The act of using MindKai is a daily check in, asking you to practice mindfulness, give time to you, to reflect, to let go of the negative and to manifest the positive. Lets face it! The way we view ourselves is important. A positive self image manifests self love. Self love manifests self care. And self care manifests whole health - body, mind & spirit.
