My background: I have 15 years of experience as a software engineer, 10 of which were spent in leadership positions. My most recent position was as Director of Software Engineering at Axon, a public safety tech company. As I reflect on my career, the part that I enjoyed the most was helping others grow and achieve their personal and career goals. I believe I have the following unique strengths which helped me in my career in engineering leadership that also translates well to career coaching: 1. Concise and direct communication: Your time is precious, I respect that by practicing candid and direct communication. 2. Proven track record in growing others: I have managed multi-discipline teams and grown individuals on my team of various roles and seniority. From junior graphic designers to Staff Software Engineers. On several occasions, I guided others in making the decision and successful transition into management or leadership roles. 3. Adaptable approach: One of the most frequent feedback I get from others is that I think well on my feet and can consistently rise to the occasion. As such, I don't believe in a one-size-fit all approach to coaching. Instead, I will work with you to develop a unique plan.
