Early literacy. Lifelong impact. We inspire parents and caregivers to share the love of books. Through our programs, we build strong literacy foundations, one child, one story at a time. About At the Fraser-Hickson Institute, charitable organization, we believe that a love of reading sparked in early childhood is a powerful driver of equity, learning, and lifelong potential. That’s why we focus on building strong literacy foundations, right from the start. Through our flagship initiative, minibiblioPLUS, we empower childcare centres, schools, community organizations, and caregivers of children 0-8 years old with: • Carefully curated mini-library collections, delivered and replenished for free • Volunteer-led storytelling and early literacy experiences • Training and resources for educators and families With over 200 partners, minibiblioPLUS now reaches organizations in Montreal and across Quebec, delivering books, activities, and joyful learning moments to thousands of children. We are growing this impact by fostering interest for community-based literacy and through development of long-term opportunities.
