About MiniMUN

MiniMUN is designed for elementary school teachers who are looking to educate their students on global citizenship, sustainability, and leadership. It is a Model UN-based curriculum created through a collaboration between a student and professional teachers. MiniMUN launched successfully for students in 2021, focusing on public speaking, compromise, and solution development. We offer standalone lesson plans and activities as well as a full unit plan, which culminates in a final ‘conference’ with a focus on one of the UN’s SDGs. MiniMUN currently has a SDG 7 (clean energy) unit, and is developing SDG 11, SDG 14, and SDG 5-focused units for the next school year.
