About Minnesota Office of Emergency Medical Services
On January 1, 2025, the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB) transitioned to the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS). Our mission is to protect the health and safety of Minnesotans by regulating and supporting the EMS system. While the name is new, our work began on July 1, 1996, under the EMSRB. Today, as OEMS, we continue to build on that strong foundation to ensure high-quality emergency medical services across Minnesota.
