About Minority Veterans of America
Minority Veterans of America (MVA) is a 501c3 non-profit that is dedicated to changing the narrative of the American veteran and building community around underrepresented identities. Our work focuses on four major areas: LGBTQ, womxn, veterans of color, and religious minorities. Our philosophy is that as individual groups, we are all likely to be overlooked, often times resulting in our communities sacrificing the needs and benefits that they have earned. Together, our groups can create a new and more inclusive majority that is truly reflective of the U.S. military that we served in. Membership to MVA is completely free and you do not need to be a veteran to join. Through our building of alliances and incorporating allies, our organization grows and gains in strength as we all work toward a common goal.
